I heard about the new songs but I haven't even listened to them. I can't really work up the excitedness everyone else is over it.

im not in much of a radiohead phase actually, either, but i had to listen out of curiosity. the orchestral thing is pretty challenging for radiohead fans but the newest one, the one i just linked to, is like, instant gratification.

yeah same. i mean i wasnt even opening threads about em. but yesterday i finally listened to these are my twisted words after the ticker at the top of mt finally piqued my curiosity lol. it was good i liked it. i heard a lot of omers saying the harry patch thing was bad so i dunno if i even want to bother. i mean i didn't in the first place but anyhow i dunno what do you think doc should i bother?

well it's all orchestra, which is why it's challenging for GRTers. i think it's beautiful and jonny is getting really good at the whole philip glass orchestra thing, but i wouldn't be surprised if it put you off. it's definitely different for them.

but yeah i'd say give it a couple plays, it's just 5 minutes of your time and it might do something for you.

the thing is, if it wasn't strings, if that orchestration was guitars, and it had some kind of drums and maybe some wanky sound effects, people wouldn't be saying it's cheesy, cos it's the same kind of arrangement the guitars have on twisted words. substance over style.
